 Hey, I'm as fond of flash as anyone else, but I also recognize the need for viewers to be able to see the site and begin getting the information they are there for, immediately. I do use flash in several projects, but do not rely on it exclusively because of the hefty bandwidth and computer power required to render it efficiently. Instead I prefer to slather a thick layer of Ajax onto the site, then asynchronously stream content in the background.
